Our Story

Built in the middle of real motherhood

Hi, I’m Kaitlyn—the mama behind Groovy Mama.

My husband and I are raising four children, which means our home is full of love, laughter, appointments, school activities, meals, messes, growing children, and approximately a thousand little details to remember at any given moment.

Groovy Mama didn’t begin in a boardroom or with a perfectly organized plan. It began in the middle of real life.

I wanted one peaceful place where I could see what was coming, plan what my family needed, and hold onto the details that so often lived only in my head. I tried calendars, lists, notebooks, spreadsheets, and different apps—but everything still felt scattered. The tools that were supposed to help often became one more thing I had to manage.

I didn’t need another system telling me to do more.

I needed something that understood how much I was already carrying.

The idea behind the rooms

I began imagining a digital home where each part of family life could have a place of its own.

The Entryway could hold the plans and appointments coming through the door.

The Kitchen could bring meals, recipes, shopping lists, and what we already have together.

The Kids’ Room could hold the important details, routines, activities, and meaningful moments connected to each child.

Other rooms could be there when a mama needed them—and remain quietly out of the way when she didn’t.

That idea became Groovy Mama: a home-management space designed around the way family life actually feels.

This isn’t about doing motherhood perfectly

Groovy Mama is not here to turn your life into another checklist.

It isn’t here to tell you that every meal must be planned, every room must be used, or every little thing must be perfectly organized.

It is here to give the things you are already carrying a place to land.

Start with one room. Use what helps. Leave what doesn’t. Come back when your season changes.

Because motherhood is always changing—and the support we need should be able to change with it.

Built by a mama, for mamas

Groovy Mama is still growing, just like the families it was created to serve. It is being shaped through real motherhood, honest feedback, and the belief that helpful tools should feel natural, flexible, and encouraging.

My hope is that when you step inside Groovy Mama, you feel a little less scattered, a little more supported, and reminded that the little things you do every day matter.

You are carrying a lot, Mama.

Let’s make it feel a little lighter.
